NT: Stott Despoja launches recruitment drive

Australian Democrats Leader NATASHA STOTT DESPOJA is capitalising on her party's revival
in the opinion polls by launching a new recruitment drive.

Central to the drive is the slogan: Change Politics - Join the Australian Democrats.

The 31-year-old senator says she's keen to break away from the perception that the
Democrats have become a party for the young, since she deposed former leader MEG LEES.

Senator STOTT DESPOJA says the Democrats are proud to represent the views of young Australians.

But she says they want to show all Australians that they can be part of an exciting
period in the party's history."

Senator STOTT DESPOJA says half a million pamphlets bearing the Change Politics slogan
will be distributed throughout Australia in the coming weeks.
