Fed: People urged to check on neighbours during heat wave

As the latest heatwave grills South Australia and pushes deeper into Victoria .. authorities
are pleading with people to check on their neighbours .. especially the sick .. the elderly
and children .. for signs of heat-related illness.

Last year .. almost 400 Victorians died from the scorching heat in the week before
Black Saturday.

Authorities are also reminding us all to take particular care in and around the beach
.. lakes .. rivers and the pool.
