Fed: Just being a finalist enough for amateur film makers

SYDNEY, Feb 22 AAP - Winning Sony's Tropfest Film Festival can make dreams come true,
but just being a finalist can catapult film makers toward international success.

Tropfest organisers this year received 656 short film entries, narrowing the selection
down to a final 16 to be aired tonight.

A judging panel decides the winners from the final 16, following a live simulcast of
the films in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Hobart and Perth.
