CANBERRA, Jan 20 AAP - In an ironic twist of fate, rain has become the enemy of theACT's water supplies.
Should it rain within the next few weeks, and finally bring respite from the bushfiresravaging the national capital, Canberrans could be left without enough clean water.
Chief Minister Jon Stanhope flagged the introduction of severe water restrictions today,saying if it rained the ACT would be reduced to just one dam capable of supplying water.
